Ssales volume for July declined by 9 percent from June, it was 12 percent less than July 2007. Every month in 2008 has experienced lower sales volume than 2007 with year to date sales now 13 percent behind 2007. Average selling prices for the month of July declined by 6 percent from June and now are only 1 percent higher than a year ago. The number of properties coming onto the market in July was 17 percent higher than a year ago, which when combined with slow sales resulted in the number of properties remaining on the market in July being 28 percent higher than a year ago.
