Sales volume in June declined by 11 percent from May levels and was 23 percent lower than a year ago. Sales prices reported for June declined by 3 percent over May's numbers with the year to date average being about 10 percent higher than the average price for the whole of 2009. New listings coming onto the market in June were 13 percent higher than a year ago which continues to maintain inventory of houses for sale at typical levels for the time of year.
