May sales volume was 18 percent higher than April and was 2 percent higher than a year ago! Average sales price in May improved by 3 percent over April, and is now just 1 percent lower than a year ago. Uncharacteristically for the time of year, the number of properties listed for sale in May declined by 8 percent from April 2009, and is now 21 percent lower than a year ago!
